FKFWPL Game week 10 preview : Bunyore Starlets search for first league win continues, Vihiga Queens and Kenya Police Bullets clash

The FKF women premier league enters Game week 10 as the battle for supremacy continues. Five matches are set to be played over the weekend with one fixture being postponed to a later date. Catherine Khaemba will look to extend his goal tally as Vihiga Queens and Police Bullets  clash in a mouth watering encounter

Kibera Soccer Womens vs Ztech Sparks -  10:00am Don Bosco Grounds

Kibera Soccer Womens sits on the top of the table, two points ahead of the second placed Bungoma Queens. Ztech Sparks sits 6th on the log four points below the league leaders. Both teams  shared the spoils in their last league encounter; Kibera Soccer Womens were held to a goalless draw by Ulinzi Starlets while Ztech Sparks dropped points at Mumboha to a struggling Bunyore Starlets. Ztech Sparks has one of the worst defensive records in the league as they have let in the most goals, 17 while their opponents have the best defensive record as they have only allowed one goal past their goalkeeper. Last time the side faced each other, Ztech Sparks won 2-1 to advance to the FKF women cup finals.

Bunyore Starlets vs Mombasa Olympics - 12:00 PM Mumboha Grounds

This is the first time the teams are facing each other in a competitive match. Bunyore Starlets are yet to register a win this season. They have managed  three draws while losing five matches. The results leave them rooted at the bottom of the table with 3 points. Mombasa Olympics are neither a good side, they have registered only one win, drawing four times and also losing four times. Coast based outfit sit 9th on the log, 4 points above Bunyore Starlets. Both teams concede a lot this is evident with their worst defensive record as they are among the teams with most number of goals conceded. With appointment of new manager, Solomon Masika, Bunyore Starlets will look to turn around things as they aim to return to winning ways.

Trinity Starlets vs Bungoma Queens - 1:00 Trinity Complex

The rejuvenated Bungoma Queens sit second in the league two points behind the league leaders. Having scored 17 goals, the Queens from Sangalo institute are a high scoring side in the league as they create chances and convert them for fun. Trinity Starlets had a good season start but they have slowed down and are not getting the results. The renamed side sits 5th in the league with 14 points. In the last encounter, Bungoma Queens lost 2-1 to the defending champions Police Bullets  with Catherine Khaemba, the league top scorer netting the lone goal. On the other side, Trinity Starlets were held to a 1-1 draw by the newbies Trinity Starlets.

Ulinzi Starlets vs Wadadia Fc - 11:00 Ruaraka Grounds 

The league favorites, Ulinzi Starlets are having a nightmare start of the season. They sit 7th on the log, 7 points behind the league leaders. They have only managed to get 2 wins, 5 draws while losing one time. Due to poor run of results  their head coach Sam Ochola has been fired. The struggling Wadadia Fc languishes in the relegation zone with four points. Having conceded 23 goals, they have the worst defensive record in the league. In the last match, they were humiliated 4-0 by KISPED Queens. Ulinzi Starlets were held to a goalless draw by league leaders Kibera Soccer Womens. The newly appointed Ulinzi Starlets head coach, Collins Ochieng will look to mark his tenure when he faces the Mumias based outfit.

Vihiga Queens vs Kenya Police Bullets - 1:00pm Moi Stadium

This is a clash of the great. This is more than a fixture as both teams will be looking to prove their supremacy. Last season, the fixture was a title decider as the defending champions silenced Vihiga Queens 1-0 on their way to chase the title. A point separates two sides as Kenya Police Bullets sits 3rd with 15 points while Vihiga Queens comes 4th with 14 points. Both teams have the best defensive record as the defending champions have conceded 5 with Vihiga Queens having conceded 3. However, the hosts have a blunt attack as they are struggling to get goals. They have managed to score only eight goals in 7 games played. Coming to this fixture, Vihiga Queens walked past Kisumu Allstarlets 3-1 while the league champions silenced the resilient Bungoma Queens 2-1.
