Second Half Drama: FKF NSL Restarts with Promotion and Relegation Battles

Luanda Villa has scored the most goals(26) with the highest goal-scoring rate of 1.85 goals per match. Mombasa Stars and Muhoroni Youth have scored the least number of goals (7), with a goal-scoring rate of 0.53 and 0.58 respectively.  APS Bomet has conceded the least number of goals (8) while SS Assad and Mombasa United have conceded the most goals (23) each.

 

APS Bomet is leading the table with 26 points after 14 matches. Kibera Black Stars, Darajani Gogo, Nairobi United and Fortune Sacco follow closely in a tight race.

 

SS Assad, Vihiga United and Muhoroni Youth are battling it out in the red zone.

 

Home Record

 

Kibera Black Stars have the best home record collecting 19 points so far with a win rate of 85.7%. Luanda Villa  have collected 17 points at home, with a win rate of 71.4%

SS Assad has managed 1 win and 6 losses at home, they have a win rate of 14.2%

 

Away Record.

Both Nairobi United and MOFA have the best away record. They have collected 4 wins, draws and 1 loss collecting 14 Points;  A win rate of 57.1 %.

Mombasa United are trailing behind on away games managing only 1 draw and 0 wins;0  with a % win rate.

Looking ahead 

 

The second half of FKF NSL  promises to be exciting. As some teams are fighting for promotion to top tier league, others will be fighting to avoid relegation.

The League resumes for match week 15 action after a short Christmas break. The weekend kicks off with two exciting matches on Saturday, setting the tone for an action-packed Sunday, where eight more games are lined up.

Saturday 11th January 2024

 

Muhoroni Youth vs Nzoia Sugar | Muhoroni Stadium | Muhoroni 1 pm

Sitting last in the standings Muhoroni Youth welcomes Nzoia SugarIn the last 5 matches Muhoroni Youth has only managed 3 draws and 2 losses getting 3 points out of a possible 15. The last match was a draw against a strong Nairobi United. They have struggled to get goals in the recent games. Nzoia Sugar’s last game against 3K FC ended in a 1-1 draw after putting a spirited 

Fight. They have managed 1 win,2 draws and 2 losses in the last 5 matches Desperate for points to climb out of last place, the home side will need a strong performance to upset the visitors who equally need the points.

Player to watch. Edwin Odhiambo is expected to play a key role for Muhoroni Youth in the weekend's clash. Nzoia Sugar’s Ian Simiyu will also be on target to add to his tally. Both players have netted 4 goals this season.

 

MOFA vs Darajani Gogo | Raila Odinga Stadium | Homabay 3pm

Darajani Gogo will be travelling to Homabay to face MOFA and this will be the very first time both teams are meeting. Three Points separate the teams with Gogo having 25 points while the hosts 22. MOFA have 2 wins,1 draw and 2 losses in the last 5 matches.

This will be a red zone battle as both teams are fighting to get off the relegation area making this encounter vital for their survival in the league. As of now, Vihiga United is ranked 19th, while SS Assad holds the 18th position in the NSL standings. In the last 5 matches, Vihiga has 1 win,1 draw and 3 losses and scored only 2 goals.
